Policies

Rules and Policies to follow at Advanced Massage Therapy

  • Massage Therapy is provided for the basic purpose of therapeutic relief or relaxation. It should not be used as a substitute for a medical, physical, or mental ailment.
  • As a professional in the field of massage therapy and bodyworks we will conduct business in a professional, confidential and ethical manner at all times. We will also abide by the code of ethics and standards of practice for massage therapy.
  • All NEW clients must fill out an intake form before therapy begins so please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment.
  • A credit/debit card is now required to reserve an appointment, both online and over the phone. We can securely store card numbers on our system to accommodate the scheduling process.
  • As a courtesy to the next client, your session will end as originally as scheduled.
  • We would also like to request that cancellations be called in at least 6 hours in advance. If less than 6 hours or you just do not show, then you will be charged 1/2 of the massage fee.
  • The client will be properly covered at all times during the massage session. At NO time will any genital areas or breasts be massaged. If at any time you feel uncomfortable for any reason, you may ask the therapist to end the session. Likewise, a massage therapist may cease the session for any inappropriate behavior from the client.
  • Please expect to have long hair pulled back off the face and shoulders and to remove jewelry before the massage.
  • Cell phone use is discouraged during the massage and disturbs other clients getting a massage and so we ask you to turn off or set it to silent before entering the building.
  • If you would like a reminder about your appointment, please leave your email address when scheduling. Our system will automatically email you 24 hrs before your appointment. We will not confirm over the phone as it ties up the phone line.
  • We do not except monetary tips. The thought is extremely flattering and appreciated, however, the best tip you could ever give us is to refer a friend or family member.

Insurance Billing

Some insurance companies cover massage therapy. At this time we do not bill insurance, but we will provide you with the correct forms and codes. We do however accept "flexspend cards".
